Community Resilience Action Plan

Westfield Ruhr Park is actively committed to promoting sustainability and supporting local initiatives. Our annual Community Resilience Action Plan (CRP) documents our goals and measures with which we want to make a positive contribution to society. Here we present our cooperation partners and the initiatives for the year 2025.

Cooperation partners of Westfield Ruhr Park:

Stadtwerke Bochum: Support for sustainable energy projects and promotion of e-mobility.

Bochum Marketing: Collaboration on local events and marketing initiatives to strengthen the community.

Bogestra: Partnership to improve public transport connections and promote environmentally friendly mobility.

DRK: Cooperation on social projects and support for aid campaigns.

Handelsverband: Cooperation to promote local trade and support retailers.

Kälteengel: Support for projects to help homeless people, especially during the winter months.

Sheltersuit: Providing weatherproof suits for homeless people to protect them from the elements.

MOOT (Made Out Of Trash): Accepting clothing donations that are upcycled into new products and clothing (moot.eco).

Stiftung Auszeit: Short-term accommodation and care for children and young people with disabilities (stiftung-auszeit.de).

What is important to us:

Integrating sustainable measures into the centre and our everyday lives: We are committed to integrating sustainable practices into our daily operations, whether through energy savings, waste reduction or the promotion of environmentally friendly products.

Support e-mobility: By providing charging stations and promoting electric vehicles, we aim to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Combating homelessness: We support initiatives and organisations that support homeless people and offer practical help and resources.

Creating barrier-free and age-appropriate offers: Our aim is to create an inclusive environment that is accessible to people of all ages and with different needs.

Our initiatives in 2025:

Wish list campaign in cooperation with Bochum Marketing: We organise a campaign in which gifts are collected and donated for children in need to bring them joy.

Westfield Ruhr Park association sponsorship in cooperation with Bogestra: We offer local associations a platform to present themselves and support them financially to continue their valuable work.

Organising a job fair: We organise a job fair to help people with further training, changing jobs and starting a career.
